Noua Honda Civic Type R este propulsată de un motor 2.0 VTEC TURBO capabil să producă 320 de CP și 400 Nm cuplu motor maxim, valori ce permit o accelerație de la 0 la 100 de km/h în doar 5.7 secunde. Viteza maximă se oprește la 272 de km/h.
